The starting point for a Ukrainian applicant is the document used to enter Sri Lanka. The Tourist ETA price displayed through this website is $99. A current address in Poland, Germany, Czechia or another country does not change the passport nationality.

People living outside Ukraine may have a residence card, temporary-protection record or local work document. Keep those papers in the residence part of the application. The Ukrainian passport remains the identity source when it is the travel document. A second passport requires a separate, consistent choice.

Identity continuity after relocation or renewal

Use the present passport number and its Latin transliteration. Older certificates, airline records and previous documents may show another spelling. Compare the application with the physical passport, especially after a renewal. Prepare a readable scan, portrait, actual home address, Sri Lankan accommodation, reachable email and onward or return plan.

Do not hide a mismatch by shortening a surname. If a booking was created before a renewal, check whether the airline can update its document record. A residence permit is useful for the return journey but is not a substitute for the Sri Lankan approval.

Application steps for a displaced or resident applicant

1. Select Ukraine when using the Ukrainian passport.
2. State the real purpose and choose the matching ETA category.
3. Copy the new document’s spelling, birth date and number.
4. Enter current residence and the first Sri Lankan address.
5. Check the complete $99 amount.
6. Keep the decision with the same passport.

A payment card from the current country of residence does not alter nationality. If a bank challenge appears, complete it once and inspect the result before trying again.

Reaching the departure airport

A journey may combine a train or coach with a flight from Warsaw, Chisinau, Budapest or Prague. Use the aircraft’s Sri Lankan arrival date rather than the day the ground journey starts. Leave margin for border traffic and separate bookings. Check the connecting country’s rules independently.

Keep passport, approval, residence document and accommodation details accessible offline. Each family member needs an individual result even when one relative arranges the trip.

Temporary protection is not passport nationality

A Ukrainian citizen may currently hold temporary protection, residence or work permission in another European state. Enter that location where residence is requested. For nationality and passport details, use the document presented for Sri Lanka. Keeping those concepts separate prevents an approval being associated with the wrong identity.

If a family has passports issued or renewed at different times, compare transliteration for every person. Similar Ukrainian names can appear with different Latin spellings across generations of documents. The current passport is the reference for the current application.

Reaching a flight from the current country of residence

A trip can begin with rail, coach or a long drive to Warsaw, Prague, Budapest, Vienna or Chisinau. The ETA arrival field should follow the Sri Lankan landing date, not the start of the ground journey. Allow time for border traffic and avoid relying on an unprotected connection with no recovery margin.

Keep return-residence documents in the travel folder because the airline or border authority on the way back may need them. They support the wider journey but remain separate from Sri Lankan permission.

Travellers whose bookings or accommodation change should keep the newest address and itinerary offline. Send a copy to a trusted private contact, but avoid placing passport scans in public cloud links. A clear file naming system helps a family match each decision to the correct current passport.
